Fishnet Chair by Marcel Wanders

Manufactured by Marcel Wanders Studio in, 2001, structure in aramid rope and carbon fiber handmade with epoxy resin coating. The “Chair Fishnet” is a development of the “Knotted Chair” by Wanders, from 1996 refined to “Compass and square” to represent the balance and values. Less than ten copies were produced. It is part of the Personal Editions Collection. Sculptural chair considered an “Ode to structural lightness”, this piece transcends the utilitarian function of the chair to assert itself as a functional sculpture. The organic spiral design creates a fluid and enveloping silhouette, balancing shape and emptiness with surprising stability. Each copy is unique, made with precision and patience, making it a collector’s piece and a conversation in any space.
