DAL Plastic Chair La Fonda Base – Vitra

Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950, the Plastic Chair was the first of it’s kind being mass produced. DAL stands for polished aluminium “La Fonda” base, which was developed as well by the couple for the restaurant La Fonda del Sol, in New York, as a request from Alexander Girard.
This model produced by Vitra has a white plastic shell full upholstered in “Hopsak yellow/pastel green” ref.71 finished in white.
