  • Set of 6 fixed chairs made entirely from brown Tauari wood, bought at the "Arquivo Contemporaneo" shop in Rio de Janeiro in 2015. The search for simplicity and contemporaneity in the design of the pieces blends and translates Zanini's style, where volumetric shapes are carved into the wood. Zanini de Zanine was born in Rio de Janeiro and grew up watching his father, José Zanine Caldas, work. He trained with Sergio Rodrigues, when he produced his first piece of furniture. In 2002 he graduated in Industrial Design from PUC-Rio. From 2003, he began producing solid wood furniture using demolition pieces - columns, beams and posts from old houses - called "Contemporary Carpentry". From 2005 onwards, he began to create a new line of furniture with industrially produced pieces, using not only wood from controlled sources, but also various materials such as plastic, methacrylate, metals and parts of other industrialised products. To represent the furniture in this new line, Zanini created Studio Zanini in 2011. Please note: Price for a set of 6 chairs.
