Ron Arad imposes a recognisable style that is largely dominated by curved lines, as demonstrated by his famous Big Easy armchair. This sculptural chair with its round, sensual shapes blurs the boundaries between art and design. The Big Easy chair has become a kind of portrait of the Anglo-Israeli designer. In 1986, Ron Arad developed an emblematic object in the history of furniture: the famous Club armchair. This is the starting point for a series of variations on the theme of the classic Club armchair. With the Big Easy collection, Ron Arad reinterprets the comfortable and cosy shapes of the Club with a variety of modern materials using innovative production processes. The Big Easy model, created over 20 years ago (in 1988), is still the subject of Ron Arad’s research today!
The Soft Big Easy is an armchair with fire-retardant injected foam on an internal steel frame.
